HVAC Installer

Qualifications • 1+ years’ experience installing energy-efficient heating and cooling systems; heat pumps, ERVs, dual fuel systems, air conditioners, geothermal, ductless heat pumps, and water heaters • A high degree of professionalism, and attention to detail • Ability to meet deadlines without compromising the installation process • Sound judgment • Ability to make decisions, work independently, and seek assistance from team members when necessary • Superior verbal communication skills • Valid driver’s license • Company insurable driving record • Able to pass a pre-hire background check and drug screening

Job description

A Sandwell HVAC Install Technician’s primary duty is to either maintain heating and cooling systems or install new units. These systems could be in basements, crawlspaces, attics, or on rooftops. So the ability to lift, climb, crawl, bend, and work on ladders is required. Often working in non-climate controlled areas, an installer will be expected to be able to perform the required tasks in all weather conditions. Must be able capable and comfortable working with power tools, and in a safe manner at all times. Will require ability to work with sheet metal and fiberglass ductwork, copper and iron plumbing systems, high pressure/ flammable refrigerants, propane, oil, and gas, underground piping systems, electrical systems, and web based computer programs. This position may require the ability to work as part of a team or independently on jobs.
