HVAC Service Technician

Qualifications
• 3+ years’ experience servicing, maintaining, or installing heating and cooling systems; heat pumps, ERVs, dual fuel systems, air conditioners, geothermal, and ductless heat pumps in both residential and commercial settings.
• A high degree of professionalism, and attention to detail with ability to troubleshoot broken HVAC systems in all environments.
• Ability to maintain a schedule while keeping in communication with clients and office
• Sound judgment and ability to adapt
• Ability to make decisions, work independently, and seek assistance from team members when necessary
• Superior verbal communication skills
• Valid driver’s license

Job description

A Sandwell HVAC Service Technician’s duties include, but are not limited to maintaining/ servicing heating and cooling systems, making emergency repairs, install new units, and educate clients on system operation, suggestions, or required repairs. These systems could be in basements, crawlspaces, attics, or on rooftops. So the ability to lift, climb, crawl, bend, and work on ladders is required. Often working in non-climate controlled areas, an installer will be expected tot be able to perform the required tasks in all weather conditions. Must be able capable and comfortable working with power tools, and in a safe manner at all times. Will require ability to work with sheet metal and fiberglass ductwork, copper and iron plumbing systems, high pressure/ flammable refrigerants, propane, oil, and gas, underground piping systems, electrical systems, and web based computer programs. Must have a high working knowledge of HVAC systems, and troubleshooting. EPA Certification required. NATE Certification a plus.
